Servicing
What is actually done, item by item.
Two services, both same day if the car is with us before 10:00. Here is exactly what each one includes, because "full service" means whatever a garage wants it to mean.
Interim service, D3,500
About two hours. Suited to a car doing under 10,000 kilometres a year, or between full services on a car doing more.
Engine oil and oil filter replaced with the correct grade for your engine. All fluids checked and topped: coolant, brake, power steering, screen wash. Tyres checked for pressure, tread depth and uneven wear, with the readings written down. Brakes inspected for pad thickness and disc condition. Lights, wipers, horn and battery condition checked. Twenty five point visual inspection underneath on the ramp, and a written report of anything found.
Full service, D6,800
About four hours. Recommended every 12 months or 15,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
Everything in the interim service, plus: air filter, fuel filter and cabin filter replaced. Spark plugs replaced on petrol engines. Brake fluid moisture tested and replaced if it fails. Coolant strength tested. Drive belts inspected. Suspension and steering components checked for play. Exhaust checked for leaks and corrosion. Fifty point inspection with a written report and the service book stamped.
Both services include a free diagnostic scan. If a warning light is on when the car arrives, we read it and tell you what it says at no charge.
Manufacturer warranty
Servicing here does not void a manufacturer warranty, provided the correct specification parts are used and the service book is stamped. Both of those are what we do as standard.
We keep the parts invoices for every job and will give you copies on request, so if a dealer ever queries it you have the evidence rather than our word.
Where a manufacturer specifies a particular oil or a particular part, we use it, and if the specified part is not available in the country we will tell you that before starting rather than substituting quietly.
The car while we have it
Courtesy car. Free if we keep your car overnight and one of the four is available. Ask when you book and we will hold one. You need a valid licence and to be over 23. Fuel is yours; there is no deposit and no daily charge.
Key drop. There is a box at the gate for any hour. Put the key in an envelope with your name, number and what the car is doing, and we will ring you with a quote in the morning.
Waiting. There is a room with a fan, a kettle and reasonable wifi. Most people go and come back; an interim service is genuinely two hours and we will ring when it is done.
