Questions
What we get asked on the phone.
Will servicing here void my manufacturer warranty?
No, provided the correct specification parts are used and the service book is stamped. Both are standard here, and we keep the parts invoices so you can prove it if a dealer ever queries it.
Do you give a courtesy car?
Yes, free, if we keep your car overnight and one of the four is available. Ask when you book and we will hold one. You need a valid licence and to be over 23. No deposit, no daily charge, fuel is yours.
How long does a service take?
An interim service is about two hours and a full service about four. Both are same day if the car is with us before 10:00. There is a waiting room with a kettle and wifi, but most people leave the car and we ring when it is done.
Do you work on hybrids and electric cars?
Hybrids yes, including a battery health check at D2,400. Fully electric we can service and diagnose, but we do not do high voltage battery pack work and we will not pretend otherwise.
Can I supply my own parts?
Yes, and we will fit them. The two year warranty then covers our labour only and not the part. We write that on the invoice at the time rather than mentioning it when something fails.
Do you do air conditioning?
A regas with a leak check is D3,800. If the leak needs a new condenser or compressor we quote that separately and you decide before we do it. We do not regas a system we know is leaking and take your money twice.
What payment do you take?
Cash, bank transfer, and Visa or Mastercard, on collection. For jobs over D20,000 we ask for half up front, which covers the parts.
Can you collect my car?
Within Greater Banjul, yes, for D2,500 each way, which is the same as the recovery charge. There is also a key drop box at the gate for any hour if it is easier to leave it overnight.
Do you have parts in stock?
Service items for common models, yes. Anything else is usually one to three days from Dakar, and occasionally two weeks if it has to come from Europe. We tell you which before you agree to the work.
Will you tell me if something can wait?
Yes, and we do it in writing. The report marks anything urgent, anything for the next service, and anything that is simply worth knowing about. A garage that says everything is urgent is one you should stop using.
What is the breakdown line?
+220 776 6600, 06:00 to 22:00, seven days including Sundays. Recovery within Greater Banjul is D2,500 and beyond Brikama it is D2,500 plus D40 a kilometre after the first 25.
